The Silent Weight of Unspoken Goodbyes

There’s a particular ache in goodbyes that are never spoken. It isn’t just the parting it’s the silence that lingers, the unanswered questions, the unfinished conversations. These moments leave us suspended between the comfort of what was and the uncertainty of what could have been. We all want closure. We want reasons, explanations, and clarity that let us move on easily. But life doesn’t always offer that. As Seneca wisely said, “We suffer more often in imagination than in reality.” Our own need for certainty can deepen the pain.
